Entertainer

"...this singer brings a uniqueness in all aspects of his performance..."
-David Mercaldo PhD , Skyline Theater Productions

Entertainer Vincent Ricciardi is known for his rich, powerful vocals, and his vocal versatility. As a concert artist he has performed throughout the NY and NJ area, showcasing Opera, Neapolitan music, Jazz, Broadway and Opera/Pop crossover favorites.  With a large repertoire encompassing a variety of styles, Vincent has several shows that can be adapted for any venue or audience. Current shows include:  Vincent Ricciardi Sings Mario Lanza…and Caruso too!  a celebration of the great tenors of the 20th century and today; Songs from Me to You!, an opera/pop crossover show in the vein of Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban and Russell Watson; On Broadway, featuring some of Broadway's favorite songs; and A Celebration of Neapolitan Song.

As a songwriter, Vincent's music mixes pop/rock rhythms with powerful operatic/pop vocals. His music is often compared to the music of Josh Groban, Russell Watson, and Michael Buble.  His song "Sometimes you Gotta Get Away" is featured in the upcoming film At the Sinatra Club.

Vincent can also be heard on numerous sound recordings from new musicals and songs by vibrant new songwriters. His credits include work with producer/composer/orchestrator Jack Walker (John Edward Cross Country), producer/composer Andrea Ardito, songwriter/composer Annie Pasqua, and Singer/songwriter Jon Montgomery.  Recently he worked with composer Marco Sabiu (best known for his collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Take That, Pavarotti, Morricone) and can be heard on the concept album Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross starring Christpher Lee.

"Most of the supporting voices are well-chosen and well performed, but the best of these must surely be Vincent Ricciardi, whose strong, emotive tenor voice is well-cast in the role of young Charlemagne."

The Voice: The Mario Lanza Story

Like many of today's tenors, Vincent has been heavily influenced by the great American tenor Mario Lanza.  Lanza, a powerhouse movie star and both a classical and pop vocalist, has proven to be an enormous influence for many tenors and others in the classical community including: The 3 Tenors, Mario Frangoulis, Richard Leech and many more.

"He had a fantastic voice--not just wonderful--a fantastic voice." - Luciano Pavarotti *
"Lanza has the finest natural tenor voice I've ever heard." - Renata Tebaldi *
"Yours is a voice such as is heard only once in a hundred years." - Serge Koussevitzky *

Mario's music remains some of the best selling classical recordings of all time.  With the help of music director David Schaefer and the support of many colleagues, family and friends, Vincent has begun to use his theatrical roots to create a show about the great tenor's life.  The goal of this piece is to present Mario's life story with honesty and reverence; while entertaining the audience with an array of some of the most beautiful, and difficult music ever assembled by one artist.  This show is both an extreme challenge and labor of love.

Currently Vincent has developed a concert to celebrate the music of Mario Lanza and the immortal Enrico Caruro, Vincent Ricciardi Sings Mario Lanza…and Caruso too!
